Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based Equitrans, L.P. (Equitrans) is an indirect subsidiary of EQT Corporation that operates approximately 600 miles of natural gas pipeline providing gathering, storage and transmission in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. It has a daily capacity of 800,000 decatherms.

The Equitrans pipeline cuts across the central portion of the Marcellus shale fairway in northern West Virginia and western Pennsylvania. It transports gas produced by EQT and other producers to five interstate pipelines including Texas Eastern, Tennessee, Dominion, Columbia and National Fuel.
