Dominion Transmission Inc. has proposed the Keystone Pipeline to transport Pennsylvania and West Virginia natural gas to the Northeast.

Dominion was reported in September, 2008 as owning a two thirds working interest in approximately 600,000 to 800,000 acres of Marcellus shale. The remaining third had been assigned to Antero Resources.

A further report in late September clarified that the actual acerage Antero would own a working interest in was only 114,259. This deal closed September 30 with Dominion retaining a 7.5% royalty on the production of any wells drilled by Antero.
