Here is where some info about Continental Resources should go. This
article is still a stub and needs your attention. It does not have a
template and contains minimal information. Please dive in and help it
grow!

It was reported in August, 2008 that Enid, Oklahoma-based Continental Resources had drilled several successful oil wells to the Trenton-Black River formation in rural Hillsdale County, Michigan about 30 miles south-southwest of Jackson, Michigan. One of the wells is located on the McArthur farm off Culbert Road, north of Pittsford.

Other wells in the area include the Anspaugh 1-1 and Wessel 1-6, both drilled in February, 2008

Continental believes the wells are capable of producing 5,000 barrels of oil per day, but are limited by Michigan regulations to producing 110 per day.

Richard Straeter is President of Continental Resources’ Eastern Division.
