Forest County, Pennsylvania is located in the northwest region of the state.
According to a September, 2009 report, there were four Marcellus shale wells in the county. Three had been drilled by Pennsylvania General Energy Corp. The locations were as follows:
- Two were in Green Township. The first one had been started July 27, 2009 and the second one on August 6.
