An October, 2008 report found Calgary, Alberta-based Champlain Resources Inc. (TSX-V: CPL.H) closing a deal to purchase 25,000 acres of Marcellus shale drilling rights mainly in Pennsylvania and southern New York State.
Houston, Texas-based Halliburton has been selected as the project manager and will carry out drilling operations.
