Here is where some info about the Public Lands at Environmental Working

The Public Lands at Environmental Working Group (EWG) is a non-profit research and advocacy group with offices both in Washington, DC and Oakland, CA. In September, 2008, EWG recommended to the City of New York strongly against any natural gas drilling in the City's watershed area due to environmental concerns.
