Charleston, West Virginia Northeast Natural Energy (NNE) is a start-up natural gas exploration and production company focusing on the Marcellus shale.
A press release appeared in March, 2010 announcing that NNE had acquired 11,657 net acres in Armstrong, Clearfield and Westmoreland counties in Pennsylvania. The property appears to have been held by production from shallow wells. The acreage and wells were purchased from Nytis Exploration Company LLC.
NNE is a portfolio company of private equity firm Metalmark Capital.
