The Haldimand petroleum project is a joint venture partnership between Petrolia, Junex Inc. and Gastem to evaluate an area surrounding the Haldimand No. 1 discovery well which is located 2 kilometers from the Gaspe harbour, at the tip of the Gaspe Peninsula in the Province of Quebec, Canada. Since October, 2008 the 13 square kilometer area centered on Haldimand No. 1 has been the subject of 3D seismic studies, an extensive surface soil geochemical survey, and a petrographic study of the associated Gaspe sandstones.

The partners announced in February, 2008 that they had completed their interpretation and evaluation of the seismic and geologic data and were planning to proceed with an additional discovery well in the project. The new well is expected to be drilled to a depth of approximately 1,100 meters.
