Canonsburg, Pennsylvania-based Superior Appalachian Pipeline LLC is a joint venture between natural gas marketing firm, Appalachian Producer Services, LLC and Unit Corporation to develop mid-stream pipeline projects operated by the former company.
According to a May, 2010 news account, Superior planned to build a pipeline for Marcellus shale gas approximately 14 and one half miles in length cutting through Snow Shoe and Burnside townships in Centre County, PA. The company had paid Snow Shoe Township $550,000 to run the pipe along side a township road.
