The Independent Oil and Gas Association of New York is pursuing an educational role in order to help the public better understand natural gas drilling and exploration. This mission was undertaken to combat the general public's lack of information about exploration as well as to correct some misinformation that has been publicized in the popular media.

Brad Gill is heading up the Association.
