In November, 2008 Houston, Texas-based Carrizo Oil and Gas (CRZO) announced a joint venture with Avista Capital Partners to invest $150 million in acquiring and developing Marcellus shale acreage in their current combined leasehold of 155,000 net acres in the Marcellus play.

Chip Johnson is President and CEO of Carrizo Oil and Gas.
