Houston, Texas-based Epic Energy Resources, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: EPCC) entered into a joint venture (JV) with Whittle Corporation and ARGOS Asset Management, LLC to develop leases prospective for Marcellus shale held by Whittle in northern West Virginia. Whittle's leases span an 11-county area including Marshall, Ritchie, Tyler, and Wetzel counties that cover 12,600 acres. ARGOS was to fund 5 vertical wells over several quarters beginning with the third quarter of 2010.

ARGOS Asset Management, LLC is jointly held (50-50) by Epic and a private investor, UIV LLC.
