Types of pipelines

There are four types of pipeline:

  1. Gathering lines that transport natural gas from the wellheads.
  2. Storage lines that move gas to and from storage.
  3. Interstate transmission lines that take natural gas from state to state.
  4. Distribution lines to customers.
