Houston, Texas-based MicroSeismic, Inc. (MSI) is a provider of 3-D passive seismic imaging for the oil and gas exploration industry.

In February, 2010, a press release appeared noting that MicroSeismic had been given a contract by Marathon Oil for installation of buried arrays in the latter's Marcellus shale leasehold. These arrays span 20 square miles at a time and provide data for analysis of hydraulic fracturing as well as microseismic monitoring and mapping.
