St. Marys, West Virginia-based Trans Energy Inc. has drilled a few vertical Marcellus shale wells. The Wetzel County Anderson-7H well is its first horizontal one. The company owns drilling rights is four West Virginia counties: Doddridge, Marion, Marshall, and Wetzel.
