Bridgeport, West Virginia-based Mountain V is an oil and gas production company focusing on West Virginia. According to its web site it controls 30,000 acres in West Virginia and Pennsylvania. It owns and operates more than 300 oil and gas wells in its service area.

A May, 2009 report found the company leasing land in the north central West Virginia County of Upshur. It was planning to drill one or more vertical Marcellus shale well(s) and possibly (an)other Devonian well(s).
