The Showstopper Lifestyle by Shawn Valentio is a book about lifestyle, philosophy and self-help geared primarily for twenty-something men. It is significant in that it advocates a controversial approach to dating and matrimony which lies somewhat outside the boundaries of mainstream American sexual mores. More akin to the Playboy Philosophy, as advocated by Hugh Hefner, the author's advice has a strong Epicurean orientation. The Showstopper Lifestyle promotes a hedonistic approach to dating and life in which one maximizes life's experiences while minimizing worries.
