The Pennsylvania Geological Survey (aka The Bureau of Topographic and Geologic Survey) is a division of the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources that specializes in the geology, geologic resources and topology of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Its mission is both to conduct research, maintain information about the geology and topology, and to educate. The Survey publishes a large number of books, magazines, maps, and pamphlets as well as maintains a web site.
