La Plume, Pennsylvania-based Keystone College is a four year, co-educational college located in the heart of northeastern Pennsylvania's Marcellus shale district. It began offering the Gas and Alternative Technology Energy Solutions (GATES) program during the fall of 2009. It is a four year degree program to prepare students for work in the oil and natural gas extraction industry. Each student receives experiential learning through a 240 hour internship.
