Williamsville, New York-based National Fuel Gas Supply Corp. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of National Fuel Gas Co. that provides interstate gas transportation and storage service through an extensive, almost 3,000 mile long, pipeline network originating at Niagara, NY on the Canadian-U.S. border and stretches south to the Ellisburg-Leidy Hub in northcentral Pennsylvania and then west to various interconnections in the Appalachian Basin. It is in the process of becoming a major conduit for Marcellus shale gas transshipped to East Coast metropolitan markets.

In August, 2009 the company planned to build a new pipeline as well as compression plants along its existing right-of-way to serve Pennsylvania Marcellus shale producers. The construction was to proceed in two phases:

  1. A new 32 mile pipeline through Elk, Cameron and Clinton Counties to the Leidy storage hub located in northcentral Pennsylvania. This was to transport roughly 200,000 dth/d. It was planned to go into service by November, 2011.
  2. A new 50 mile pipeline with capacity of a minimum of 300,000 dth/d extending the above facilities through Clearfield and Jefferson counties to western Elk County where it was to connect with Supply Corp.'s Line K. This line was slated to go into service by November, 2012.

National Fuel Gas Supply also provides more than 30 subterranean natural gas storage storage areas. Most are company-owned, but a handful are co-owned with partners.
