Texas-based Guardian Exploration LLC with local offices in Shinglehouse, Pennsylvania owns three horizontal Marcellus shale wells in village of Roulette on Route 6 close to the Fishing Creek exit in Potter County, Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania General Energy Corp. is the well operator. These wells were in the news in December, 2008 when one of the horizontal wells caught fire on Christmas Eve and had to be extinguished by the local volunteer fire department. The cause of the fire was said to be a gas leak.
