Broome County, [[New York]] is a county in New York's Southern Tier that borders the State of [[Pennsylvania]]. It is sandwiched between New York's Tioga and Delaware Counties. A very thick layer of [[Marcellus shale]] trend extends northward into the county from Pennsylvania to a region slightly east of Binghamton.
