Kittanning, Pennsylvania-based BLX Inc is a natural gas exploration and production company that has been drilling the Marcellus shale formation in Butler County, PA located in the west central part of the state.
A report that appeared in July, 2008 mentioned that the company had drilled a vertical well on the Cecelia and Wayne Watson farm in Butler County.
Another BLX lease is on property owned by Richard J. Blauser also in Butler County. It is located in Allegheny Township.
According to an August, 2010 news account, BLX held a number of leases in Allegheny County, PA. It had 63 leases covering 1,723 acres in the county.
