Equitable Resources Inc. (NYSE:EQT) is a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based integrated energy company focusing on natural gas operations in the Appalachian Basin.

The company controls drilling rights on roughly 400,000 acres of land that prospective for Marcellus shale gas in western Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia.
