Norse Energy of Norway, or its North American subsidiary, Nornew, Inc., with offices in Norwich, NY, northeast of Binghamton, in eastern Chenango County. It was reported in August, 2008 to have drilled eleven wells in the previous twelve months in Chenango County, NY. It has been active in that county since 1996.
