Here is where some info about the Trout Unlimited
should go. This article is still a stub and needs
your attention. It does not have a template and contains minimal
information. Please dive in and help it grow!

Trout Unlimited (TU) is an environmental and conservation-oriented group that focuses on the preservation and restoration of habitats for wild and native cold water fish. The New York City chapter, 900 members strong, has recommended to the New York Department of Environmental Conservation that reverse osmosis technology be used to filter frac water before it is returned to the rivers and streams after drilling. It has also advocated increasing the severance fee on gas wells, and for regulatory agencies to tighten up restrictions on drilling particularly as they relate to water quality.

  • Ron Urban is TU's New York State Chapter Chairman.
  • Elizabeth Maclin is Vice President of Eastern Conservation.
