Williamsport, PA-based Pennsylvania College of Technology, an affiliate of The Pennsylvania State University, headquartered at University Park, PA, is home of the Marcellus Shale Education & Training Center (MSETC).

The Center is strategically located in the heart of the Marcellus shale fairway. It's mission of is to help meet Pennsylvania's workforce development and community education needs as related to natural gas extraction from the Marcellus shale formation.

Courses of study are also offered through the College's North Campus near Wellsboro. This includes a roustabout training program and one for commercial truck drivers.

  • Larry L. Michael is Executive Director of Workforce and Economic Development at Penn College.
  • Thomas Murphy is a member of the MSETC team and a Penn State Cooperative Education educator.
  • Jeffrey F. Lorson is an Industrial Technology Specialist with the College.
  • Brenda G. Abplanalp is Director of North Campus outreach services.
