It was reported to be actively leasing in southwest Ontario and to have an initial 3,000 acre leasehold in the area. This region is considered to be part of the St. Lawrence lowlands. It is primarily focusing on shale gas projects.

Update: A news account appeared in April, 2010 to the effect that Mooncor had leased 23,000 acres protective for shale gas in Lambton and Kent counties, Ontario.
