Houston, Texas-based Geokinetics, Inc. (NYSE Amex: GOK) is a provider of specialized geophysical services. Its services include seismic data acquisition, data processing and interpretation services.

In late June, 2009 it was reported that Geokinetics was involved in large scale survey in the northeastern Pennsylvania Counties of Bradford, Susquehanna and Wyoming. The purpose of this survey was to trace the outlines of the Marcellus shale formation in that region of the state. The company planned to deploy 250 workers on the project in Bradford County.

Geokinetics has a Bradford County office in Wysox Township. It is roughly three miles east of Towanda on Route 6.
